Belly Dance classes information

Back to Class Page

Classes start with a warm up session followed by learning technique and various routines to practice the technique learnt, not forgetting having fun in the process training the body to respond to the rhythms and learning about the the different aspects of Belly Dance such as music, styles, culture and even language (where applicable)

Courses run from September through to July with breaks at national holidays and a summer break in August.

The courses are progressive and they do not repeat. They are structured in such a way that even if a couple of classes are missed the student gets the full contents of the course (though less practice unless practicing at home)

Courses must be booked and paid for in advance. No 'drop in' available.*

Policy
no refund/transfer offered once the course has started

Beginners level course - The Beginners course is suitable for the absolute beginner or those with little previous experience. There are 6 courses in a year which do not repeat through out the year which equip the student with the level of technique and experience required to move up to improver level.

It is advised to do a minimum of 4 courses to be able to join the improver level course in September.

*If you'd like to do a 'try out' class you can do 1 class of a course for £10 by arrangement only.

What to wear
For all dance classes wear comfortable clothing, you can wear a wide flowy skirt and a hip scarf if you like. We dance in bare feet (if you prefer to dance in shoes please wear ballet shoes).
