Belly Dance 'Sunday School' - Brighton

A series of Sunday workshops aimed at students who wish to deepen their knowledge, understanding & technique of Egyptian Belly Dance.

Arabic Fusion - improver level

Learn to combine Arabic dance steps with moves and grooves of street Jazz and hip hop to funky ‘dance music. You will learn some street Jazz technique and a whole choregoraphy to 'Kiss Kiss' by Holly Valance

The Magic of Tabla- Improver level

An opportunity for dancers to deepen their understanding of Egyptian rhythms, learn how express them in your dance, experiencing the magical relationship between the Tabla player and the dancer.

This workshop is taught with Tim Garside

Camels & Shimmeis - General level

A fantastic workshop to work your way up the different levels From the simple camel to the tricky one, this workshop will have them all, you will learn to andulate with grace and shimmy with ease. We will go through the different shimmies and experiment shimmies combined with camels! This workshop could be suitable for beginners who like a challenge

Drama Queen - Improver level

Learn to walk and wink to the beat - in other words, learn to dance in character of the sassy, sexy, cheeky and bossy M'aalima (boss woman), we'll be playing around with tables, chairs shishas and Malayas (the big black veil). Brin a Maleya or a big veil.
